Clothing, Waterproofs, Hiking Equipment

Mountain Warehouse Oxford

6 Broad St, Oxford OX1 3AJ, UK – 01865 728152

An excellent outdoor clothing and equipment store. They have a wide product range that is reasonably priced. Assistants were friendly and helpful. Their end of season sales are legend!

It does the job but the building is quite old and the floor is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly. It also vets too hot in summer time. Again it does the job and there isn't a lot of shops in Oxford which sell the kind of things you find here. I would recommend it.

GO Outdoors

426 Abingdon Rd, Oxford OX1 4XN, UK – 0344 387 6802

Helpful on the telephone, holding a product for 24 hours. Helpful in store. Great discounts on some big brands at the moment.. They also can price match. Remember: the entrance is at the rear.. Ignore that the street front looks awful / closed.. Enter via car park at rear, and this store is Oxford's best outdoor store.

Reasonable range and friendly + helpful staff, but interior quite messy and can be difficult to find correct size. Much easier to just shop on their website and then come in to try things on and buy what you want.

This is a great place for reasonably priced and stylish clothing. The staff are friendly and helpful.

For me Uniqlo is a great one stop shop for pants and socks.

Needed my car's headlamp replaced - the man who served me knew exactly which one I needed and fitted it straightaway. I was in and out within 10 minutes, brilliant service!

Oxford Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Fine park with outstandingly helpful staff. Yes it is a bit noisy with the railway nearby. I had one slightly noisy night but two quiet ones. It is a caravan park in a city. You get tremendous convenience but expect a bit of background city noise. Buses and good shops are short walking distance. The amenities block is very dated and a bit crummy. This would have been a 2 star rating but the level of staff service really lifts it. A pleasure to meet and stay there. I am a touring cyclist and was tenting it. A tent site for £8 a night, in a city, outstanding value. A new amenities block would make this a 4 star park.

This campsite is in a good location with just a short 30 minute walk into Oxford. Staff were helpful. Facilities could do with some investment to bring them up to modern standards.
